Juana was cleaning out the closet the other day and found two of the many bibs she made for Charlotte years ago. The first, with vegetables and fruit, and the second, with farm animals, had been stored with the hope that someday another grandchild would be able to wear them.
And that day is now here!
Charlotte’s baby sister Olivia arrived recently and she cannot get enough of her. We talked about how the three of us will go to the gardens this summer and harvest berries and other things.
“What do you mean, we Pompi?” says Charlotte.
“I’m sure Olivia will love berries as much as you,” I reply. “We will all have to share.”
“Share?” Charlotte responds quizzically. “Sure, Charlotte,” I say. “You cannot eat everything yourself. You will have to divide them with your sister.
”Charlotte ponders this for a while and then replies, “I guess it will be ok as long as it is 60/40.”
