Now that it is summer, my granddaughters Charlotte and Olivia will be spending a few days with us each week. Never one to ignore the opportunity for free labor, I put Charlotte to task in helping me prepare sachets. I use them as a kick-off aromatherapy exercise during my talks promoting my book, A Therapist’s Garden.
She chooses cinnamon to start with carefully doling out a tablespoon of this herb into a muslin bag and then places it into a plastic bag to contain its scent. She like the smell and wants a bag for her own use. Olivia has less interest in the herbs but rather enjoys trying to place her tiny hand into one of the bags. It will be a while before I can draft her for such assistance. I look forward to the wait.
