I have a secret spot in plain view where I like to rest at the end of the day. It is in the front yard hidden by a large honeysuckle (Lonicera) and a native rose bush on a park bench. Cold drink in hand, I marvel as bees and other pollinators swarm around me looking for a snack from these bushes or other plants that crowd my seat. The area is a bit wild but that is the way Juana and I like it preferring to let the space take on its own characteristics without much help from either of us.
I sit in the afternoon sun, warm to its rays and happy in my thoughts.
