Signs of guerrilla gardening

My horticultural therapy clients atâ €@annsplanceinc had a great time last week making plant labels and @seedbombs. These are simple exercises where clients young and old can be engaged. I was able to make the plant labels out of wooden stakes, mason jar lids and customized weatherproof labeling.

The seed bombs also needed just three ingredients: compost, air-dry clay and wildflower seeds. After the bombs are made and dried out, they can be tossed with abandon anywhere. A little rain washes the clay away and the seeds can then germinate quickly. Seed bombs are a fun and sneaky way to plant wildflowers in places that are normally inaccessible. It also feeds the subversive gardener in some of us who want to see a more diverse collection of plants and flowers.
