In writing A Therapist’s Garden, I have received so much help from so many people. But in certain ways it is a family affair with my sister-in-law Rosana @artbyrosana drawing a wonderful cover and plate illustrations and Juana my wife tasked with providing two dozen spot illustrations that appear within the book’s pages. Botanical illustrations are one of her many talents and if something interesting catches her eye, she will just plop down with a pad and pencil/pen and capture it and the moment. I thought her skills would be perfect for breaking up the text with little drawings that refer to something in an adjoining space.
Some plants were familiar friends that had been drawn before while others were new and wonderful discoveries forcing her to draw more complex images than ever before. I think they are delightful.
